High-flying Anderson looking for a Michigan State offer
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - When it comes to the state of Michigan's top seniors in the class of 2011, Dwaun Anderson of Sutton's Bay is making a case to be at the head of the class.
The 6-foot-4 wing with the big-time hops is establishing himself as the Durrell Summers of 2011. Anderson gave travel team basketball followers in West Michigan a look at his entire arsenal of skills during action at the Grand Rapids Storm Classic Friday through Sunday.
Anderson treated fans at the three-day event to the most awesome display of dunking at the tournament with highlight dunk after highlight dunk. Anderson also showed that he is more than a dunker as he displayed an accurate shot from beyond the arc. He also displayed a nose for the bucket as he drove to the hoop with regularity and proved to be a creative finisher at the rim.
Coming from tiny Sutton's Bay in northwest lower Michigan, Anderson is still a relative unknown not only in the state but throughout the country, but more performances like the one at the Storm Classic this spring and Anderson's list of schools recruiting him will be sure to grow.
