Hokie target ready for visits
Visits are coming for one Virginia Tech target. The Hokies are expected to receive a trip in the near future from the star recruit, when will he make it to Blacksburg?
"We're looking to come up to Virginia Tech the first Saturday Dominique doesn't have practice," athlete Dominique Terrell's father Zach said. "It's either going to be the 14th or 21st of August. We're not really leaning towards one; it just depends on when it'll work.
"We're also possibly bringing (2011 wide receiver) Timmy Keith up with us. I know Virginia Tech likes him, but they haven't offered."
Tech isn't the only school that will get a visit from Terrell in the near future.
"We're going to go to Tech and we're going to go to West Virginia in August," he said. "Then we're trying to get out to LSU, Miami and Texas Tech early on in the season. Texas Tech has been on him pretty hard recently. We're talking about an unofficial to Texas Tech for one of their early games in the season; it's a long way to go though. We're going to try to hit those three schools in September to see how he likes them.
"We'll probably see LSU when they play West Virginia (September 25th). We also are trying to get to the Virginia Tech-Boise State game."
It appears Terrell is starting to focus in on five schools now.
"He's pretty much focused on those five (LSU, Miami, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech, West Virginia)," he said. "We've been on unofficials to Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Rutgers, but they are kind of on the outs now.
"He likes Virginia Tech and West Virginia, but he just wants to see these other teams to get the opportunity to make sure he isn't missing something about them."
Meanwhile, are the Hokies still recruiting Terrell more as an offensive player at this point?
"They say that's what they want, but I think Torrian Gray likes him at defensive back too."
