Top junior targets visiting Auburn

Auburn will host its first big Junior Day of the spring Saturday as more than 25 of the Tigers' top targets for the 2012 class will be on campus for unofficial visits.

Auburn will focus primarily on the in-state recruits this weekend with at least a dozen of the top targets planning to be there.

The Oxford trio of linebacker Kwon Alexander, defensive back Trae Elston and offensive lineman Michael Flint are scheduled to be on the Plains. Alexander, 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, and the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Elston, are Rivals250 to Watch prospects and have several SEC offers including ones from Auburn and Alabama. Flint, 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, is committed to Auburn.

Leeds linebacker Javierre Mitchell and West Limestone safety Alex Taylor are expected to attend the Junior Day as are local standout Torey Agee, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive lineman from Opelika, and Escambia County 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive lineman Tyler Nero.

Florence running back Beniquez Brown, one of the Tigers' top targets at the position, will also be in Auburn Saturday.....

Recruits are scheduled to begin arriving Saturday morning.

Auburn will hold its next Junior Day Saturday, March 26. The Tigers' spring game is set for Saturday, April 16. Large groups of prospects are expected to be at both events.
