Nothing like Athens according to 2010 OL
A class of 2010 offensive tackle that is getting a lot of early attention paid Athens a visit over the weekend. It was his first game-day experience at UGA and he says he has never seen anything like it. The Dawgs let Max Garcia know that he is high on their list and he lists Georgia high on his.
"I went over to Georgia for the Alabama game and it was a very intense atmosphere," said Garcia. "Everything was real nice and I liked it all."
Before seeing the crowd in all black, Garcia spent some time talking with his recruiting coach.
"Coach [Stacy] Searels talked to me for a while when I first got there. He recruits my area and he talked about when he saw me in the spring. Coach Searels said he likes my feet and that I am one of the top prospects on his list. It was nice talking with him."
Hearing those nice words from Coach Searels made the 6-foot-4, 255 pound junior proud.
"I was happy to hear that he liked me and it felt good. I just will use those words as motivation, so I can show him what I can do. I will just keep working hard."
After meeting with Searels, Garcia took a tour of the facilities and then ate lunch with the other recruits. From there, he went over to the stadium and he said it was like not other experience.
