Vanderdoes details Oregon offer

The Oregon Ducks do not put out as many offers as other teams, and the ones they do have been thoroughly investigated. Place (Calif.) defensive end Eddie Vanderdoes is ranked as the No. 21 player in the country and has dozens of D-1 offers.

This week the Pac-12 champions added their name to the list after finishing their thorough background checks to ensure that team chemistry continues to set the stage for more wins.

"It was great," said Vanderdoes of the Oregon offer. "I started talking to Coach Azz (Oregon defensive line coach Jerry Azzinaro the last two weeks. I really liked what he had to say about me, he was very up front. He told me he liked me a lot, even among all the many guys he has evaluated. He told me to stay patient because they want to do background checks, they want to make sure everything is going right at home like how good of a kid you are. Are you lazy? Are you working hard? Are you a coachable kid? They want to do all those background checks. They talked to my principal, they talked my coach. Since I was on Facebook and I was on Twitter, they wanted to check how I talked on those.
