NSD Quotebook: MSU Coaches on D-Line recruits

EAST LANSING - In the sixth of an "In Their Own Words" series of articles profiling Michigan State's 2013 recruiting class on a position-by-position basis, SpartanMag.com provides the straight quotes from Michigan State coaches about the players they signed on National Signing Day .

Today, we profiled the defensive line position, with straight quotes from head coach Mark Dantonio and defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi on MSU's four D-line signees.

Chicago Julian's Demetrius Cooper (6-5, 220) is the lone defensive end recruit in Dantonio's seventh recruiting class. Cooper is ranked the No. 14 player in Illinois and No. 28 weakside defensive end in this year's class by Rivals.com.

Devyn Salmon (6-1, 285) and Noah Jones are a pair of three-star defensive tackles from Florida. University of Toronto transfer James Bodanis (6-6, 300) is unranked by recruiting analysts.
