2019 DeMatha safety high on Terps following hometown offer
HYATTSVILLE, Md. -- The recruitment of Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha 2019 safety Nick Cross has blown up during camp season this spring and the hometown Terps have made an impression by being one of the first to extend an offer.

Maryland was the third school to offer Cross when it anted up May 8. Only Purdue and Temple came calling sooner. But the 6-foot-1, 205-pound local prospect has a growing relationship with Terps defensive backs coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim and was thrilled to get an early verbal from the program in his own backyard.
