Knight was offered by Maryland on Jan. 27 when Terps head coach DJ Durkin made the trip down to Florida to offer him in person.

His official visit to College Park this weekend was his first trip to the school. He told TSR that he was looking forward to the Terps coaches’ candidness.

“I just want everyone to not try and show me the flashy things, but to show me the reality of things,” Knight told TSR earlier in the week. “And I just want to have a bond with the players and coaches and hopefully get to see the academic part of the school. So I just hope everything goes well.”

Knight becomes the Terps' fifth defensive back commit and the sixth commit from the state of Florida.
