Florida OL Ben Beymer commits to Maryland football

Maryland football landed its second commitment in as many days Sunday, as Lakeland (Fla.) offensive tackle Ben Beymer announced his pledge to the Terps via social media.

The 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle chose the Terps over offers from the likes of Duke, Georgia Tech, Syracuse and more.

Beymer started at right tackle for Lakeland as a junior last season, helping the team to a second consecutive Florida FHSAA 4S state championship. He also played for the Lakeland basketball team, helping them earn a spot in their regional championship game.

Beymer becomes the ninth overall commit for 2025 and the second of the weekend, joining Calvert Hall three-star tight end JT Taggart, the son of current Baltimore Ravens assistant coach Willie Taggart. He becomes the second offensive line commit, joining Philly three-star Kahlil Stewart. He is not yet rated by Rivals.com.
