Maryland lands first football commit for 2017
Maryland football coach DJ Durkin landed his first commitment in the 2017 recruiting class on Thursday evening in Lake Braddock (Va.) three-star tight end Andrew Park.

Park committed while on an unofficial visit to College Park. He joins Auburn, Ala. native Noah Barnes as the second tight end to commit under the Terps' new staff.
The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder also held an offer from Pittsburgh and interest from Duke, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
