Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh four-star guard Noah Locke has cut his list of schools down to a final eight of Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Providence, Virginia and Xavier, he announced Tuesday night via Twitter.

Locke was offered by Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon back on May 30 following a productive spring on the Nike EYBL circuit. The 6-foot-2 guard led the circuit in made three-pointers (53) while shooting nearly 50 percent (49.5%) from beyond the arc.

The Terps seemed to ramp up their recruitment of Locke following a 25-point outburst at the Nike Peach Jam in which he made six three-pointers with Mark Turgeon looking on.

“It felt great,” Locke said of having Turgeon watch him play. “It was great to see him there. He’s a famous guy in Maryland. Everyone knows Coach Turgeon. Around my school, everyone is happy that I got a Maryland offer. It’s great to see him there and it’s a great offer because it’s my hometown. It’s a lot of people’s dream to get that school that are from Maryland. I feel like I’m blessed to get that offer.”

Following unofficial visits this summer to Michigan and Virginia, Locke still has yet to visit Florida, Kansas and Ohio State of his eight finalists.

Locke to this point remains wide open and recently told TSR that he has a tough decision in front of him.

“This is going to be a very hard decision,” said Locke. “I have to take a couple more visits just to get to know everyone else."
