Post Minnesota Terrapin Ten
Rank Name Why?

1.

D.J. Moore

Moore had 8 catches for 90 yards and a touchdown against Minnesota's top ranked defense. He also ran the ball once for 23 yards. Throw in the fact that he's now catching passes from his third starting QB of the season and this one is a no-brainer. Last Week: 1

2.

Ty Johnson

Johnson rushed for 130 yards against Minnesota's top-ranked rush defense. None of his yards any bigger than his 34-yard touchdown run with a little over a minute remaining in the game to give the Terps the lead. We'll call Johnson '1B' for now. Last Week: 2

3.

Jermaine Carter Jr.

Another week, another game in which Jermaine Carter Jr. leads the Terps in tackles. Through four games, he now has 29 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass breakup. Still, as good as he's been, could improve in pass coverage. Last Week: 3

4.

Antoine Brooks

Brooks' versatility and nose for the ball were on display once again against Minnesota. His ability to rush the passer and solid tackling have helped make up for the loss of Jesse Aniebonam. He now has three tackles-for-loss in the Terps' first four games. Last Week: 4

5.

Derwin Gray

Gray, the o-line's anchor and blindside protector, helped keep the Golden Gophers without a sack in Max Borteschlager's first start of the season. He also helped open up some holes on the ground as the Terps rushed for 262 yards against the No. 1 rush defense. Last Week: 8

6.

JC Jackson

JC Jackson's play is starting to match the lofty expectations that followed him from Florida to College Park. He's been a physical, lock-down corner so far this season and recorded his second interception of the season at Minnesota. Last Week: 6

7.

Taivon Jacobs

After a poor showing a week ago, Jacobs bounced back against Minnesota with 5 catches for 28 yards. He also ran the ball once for 9 yards. He once again seems locked into that No. 2 receiver roll. Last Week: 7

8.

Darnell Savage

Savage had a solid game on paper with 5 tackles, but did appear to let a receiver get behind him on a long completion to the goal line which set up a Minnesota touchdown late. He slips three spots. Last Week: 5

9.

Damian Prince

The o-line's other bookend makes the list this week after a stellar performance from the entire unit up front. Prince seemed to get good push all day long and it was especially apparent on Ty Johnson's go-ahead TD late in the 4th quarter. Last Week: NR

10.

Max Bortenschlager

Bortenschlager bounced back from a rough outing in relief against UCF by throwing for two touchdowns, running for another and most importantly, not turning the ball over at Minnesota. His play against the Golden Gophers gives the Terps hope for the rest of the season. Last Week: NR
