COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The Terps appeared to be locked in a tight battle early against UCF, but when starting quarterback Kasim Hill left the game in the first quarter with an injury, things started to unravel for Maryland.

Sophomore running back Ty Johnson once again led the Terps in all-purpose yards, but was held to just 25 yards rushing on 11 attempts.

Jermaine Carter Jr. and Darnell Savage helped lead the defense with six tackles each, but the unit struggled against a high-powered UCF offense.
