The 6-foot-3, 170-pound two guard recently took an unofficial visit to Villanova and plans to take an unofficial to College Park Aug. 20. Morsell will receive an in-home visit from the Hokies Sept. 10 and his only planned official visit as of now is to Notre Dame Sept. 17.

“It takes a lot of stress off of my back,” Morsell told TSR. “Everytime I look up there’s a school calling me or a coach calling me so now I can just focus on really getting to know five programs. I feel really good about all of them. That’s why I picked them. I think I have a really good relationship with all of their staffs and mainly their head coaches. I feel like I have a better relationship with those head coaches than other schools.”

A strong relationship with Morsell is one characteristic that all of his top schools have in common, but the Baltimore native was quick to point out that all five are also what he considers to be “guard schools.”

Morsell’s recruitment really took off during the first July live period when he picked up offers from Maryland, Pitt, Kansas State and Virginia Tech. Villanova and several other high-major programs followed suit, but now Morsell has narrowed his focus to the five schools he feels most comfortable with. He broke down each of his finalists for TSR.
