“[Maryland] was nice,” Johnson told TSR while competing at the NBA Top 100 Camp at the University of Virginia. “I like the coaching staff. It was a great facility and great campus. I had an awesome time up there.”

Terps newest assistant coach Kevin Broadus recruited Johnson hard while he was coaching at Georgetown prior to his arrival in College Park. But Broadus has transitioned his relationship with Johnson over to his new gig and is selling him on being an impact player at Maryland.
