Maryland kept its local recruiting momentum going Dec. 17 by picking up the 27th commit to its 2017 class with a pledge from Washington (D.C.) St. John’s College High three-star pass rusher Kofi Wardlow.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder, who will line up at the BUCK for the Terps next fall, took an official visit to Michigan State Dec. 2 and followed that up with an official to College Park Dec. 9-11. He was scheduled for officials to Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and Boston College in January but told TSR, “As far as I know, I’m shutting things down.”

Wardlow raved about Maryland after his official visit with the Terps and it turned out to be a trip that left him wanting to be part of what his hometown school is building.
