Maryland makes strong impression on Ikey Obiagu during official visit

Decatur (Ga.) Greenforest Christian Academy 2017 four-star center Ikey Obiagu picked up his Maryland offer back in May while on an unofficial visit with the Terps, and after an impressive summer, the 7-foot, 220-pound Nigerian native decided to trek back to College Park Sept. 2-3 for an official.

Obiagu received his Terps offer from his primary recruiter and assistant coach, Dustin Clark, who he said he has developed a “really good relationship” with over the last several months. But this past weekend in College Park was the most extensive interaction the rising senior has had to date with Terps lead man Mark Turgeon and the current Maryland players.
