Baltimore (Md.) Mount St. Joseph 2017 three-star shooting guard Darryl Morsell’s unofficial visit to Maryland Aug. 20 was by no means the local recruit’s first trip to College Park, but it was certainly the most extensive.

“Usually I just go there and go to their gym to watch a game or go to Midnight Madness, but [Aug. 20] I got to see the whole campus,” Morsell told TSR. “I didn’t know the campus is as big as it is. But I got to go around the whole campus and see all of the different buildings. It was just all new to me so I was just taking it all in. I was just seeing if I went there where my classes would be and what the tradition is there.”

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Baltimore native narrowed his recruitment down to five schools earlier this month, and the Terps made the cut along with Dayton, Notre Dame, Villanova and Virginia Tech.
