Cobbs was offered by Maryland two weeks ago and visited campus several times since the spring, most recently for a 7v7 tournament hosted by the Terps. He called Maryland one of his 'dream schools' after they offered.

"The biggest thing is that I feel like it’s a top-notch program where I can come in and make an impact very quickly playing against some of the top teams in the nation, like Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, and schools like that,” Cobbs recently told Rivals. “Plus, it’s not that far from home for me, it’s only like a 45-minute drive.”

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Cobbs becomes the Terps' second wide receiver commitment in the class, joining Friendship Collegiate three-star wideout Dontay Demus.

Cobb chose the Terps over offers from East Carolina, Marshall, Navy, NC State, Old Dominion, Temple, Virginia and Wake Forest. Rivals currently has Cobbs and the No. 17-ranked player in the state of Virginia.
