It was no secret that Maryland wanted to take a signal caller in its 2018 class, and the Terps got their guy April 12 when Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan three-star quarterback Tyler DeSue committed to play in College Park.

DeSue chose Maryland over other offers including Indiana, Miami, NC State, UCF, Virginia and West Virginia. After visiting College Park March 27 for a spring practice, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound passer told TSR that Maryland was one of this top schools and that he planned to make a decision soon. Once fellow 2018 Terps quarterback target Devin Leary committed to the Wolfpack six days ago, DeSue knew it was the right time to pull the trigger and pledge to playing for D.J. Durkin at Maryland.
