Kareem McDonald resurfaces as Terps target
After being recruited to join the 2015 class in College Park by former Maryland head coach Randy Edsall, committing to Virginia but ultimately decommitting from the Cavaliers before signing day, Washington (D.C.) Woodrow Wilson outside linebacker Kareem McDonald decided to attend junior college on the West Coast to work on his craft and is now resurfacing as a BUCK target of D.J. Durkin and the Terps staff for 2018.
“Coach [Justin] Winters has been recruiting me since he was hired [at Maryland],” McDonald told TSR. “I'm a class of 2018 JUCO grad, so it's great that he's recruiting me early. I start spring ball soon and I believe they are going to come watch me move around.”
But before the Terps staff could get out to Fullerton College (Calif.) to check out McDonald, the DMV native, who has been on campus in College Park several times, made a trip back home to take in a spring practice at Maryland April 8.
