Maryland 'felt like the place where I belong' for Jaelyn Duncan

Maryland picked up its ninth pledge for its 2018 class with a commitment June 15 from Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances three-star offensive tackle Jaelyn Duncan, who chose the Terps over other suitors such as Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Virginia Tech, Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State.

“I chose Maryland because I felt like that was the place where I belong,” Duncan told TSR. “I’ve never felt left out up there. They have great coaches and I feel like I can become a better person there.”

The 6-foot-6, 301-pound blocker was also the sixth prospect from the DMV to join the Terps’ 2018 class. Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt three-star safety Raymond Boone made it seven with his commitment the very next day.

Being a part of the DMV-to-UMD movement played a large role in Duncan’s decision and now he plans to do his fair share of local recruiting for the Terps.
