Mason Lunsford commits to Terps

After receiving an offer and in-home visit from the Terps in the last week, Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) 2019 three-star offensive tackle Mason Lunsford wasted no time and committed to Maryland Dec. 14, becoming the second local prospect to commit since the hiring of head coach Mike Locksley.

Lunsford told TSR earlier this week that he has been going to almost every Terps home game for the past two years and he is excited about the direction the program seems to be heading under Locksley.

“I think it’s pretty clear that this program is on the rise now after all they’ve been through and especially with the hiring of Locksley,” Lunsford said. “I think Maryland will be a dominant program.”

Maryland's 2019 class currently sits at 10, with the 6-foot-6, 310-pound local product becoming the first offensive lineman to join the group.
