Terps make Top 7 for local wing Naji Marshall

Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy four-star wing Naji Marshall cut his list of schools down to a final seven of Pittsburgh, Maryland, Rhode Island, South Carolina, TCU, Virginia Tech and Xavier, he announced Monday afternoon on Twitter.

Marshall, who played for DC Premier and attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Greenbelt, Md.) this past school year, has received scholarship offers from six of the seven schools, but is yet to receive an offer from Maryland.

Although the Terps are yet to offer, Maryland has shown heavy interest in Marshall throughout the summer. The 6-foot-5 wing told TSR at the NBPA Top 100 camp that he visited Maryland's College Park campus multiple times in June to play pickup and that he kept in constant contact with Terps assistant Dustin Clark.

Marshall was one of the top performers throughout the month of July with a breakout performance in Charlotte at the Under Armour All-American Camp followed by strong performances at the Under Armour Finals and the Fab 48 this past weekend in Las Vegas, all in front of Maryland coaches.

Currently ranked the No. 62 player overall in the 2017 class, Marshall is set to announce his decision on Friday.
