Terps pick up big commitment from JUCO OT TJ Bradley

Maryland picked up a big commitment Saturday night from Scranton (Pa.) Lackawanna four-star offensive tackle T.J. Bradley, he announced via Twitter.

The 6-foot-7, 290-pound Bradley chose the Terps over Penn State, Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

Bradley was most recently in College Park for the Terps' recruiting barbecue on July 29, his fourth visit to Maryland's campus.

A Northern Virginia native, proximity to family played a big part in Bradley's decision. He brought older sister and cousin--who lives 10 minutes from College Park--during his final visit.

“They like it,” Bradley recently told TSR. “My cousin lives only 10 minutes from there, so he can always come check in on me and we could hang out. It would be a comfortable situation. My oldest sister really likes how the staff really cares about their players and she knows if I was to go there that I would be treated well and they would push me to my limits.”

Bradley's relationship with new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen also played a big role in his commitment to Maryland.

“Coach Bowen was just saying how I would fit there and how Maryland is always open if I want to go to it,” Bradley said. “As far as how I want to develop, we kind of see eye-to-eye on that stuff.”

Bradley is the fourth offensive lineman and fifth four-star prospect to commit to Maryland's 2018 class.
