Maryland Terrapins opened the season with a last-second 78-77 loss to UCONN at the Barclays Center in New York. After going down by 17 in the 2nd half, the Terps battled back in the game's final minutes. Dez Wells missed a shot to win it with just seconds to play. Evan Smotrycz had 13 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.
