After previously flying under the radar, Christchurch (Va.) School 2018 three-star inside linebacker Jamar Darboe has seen an uptick in his recruitment since Maryland came with an offer Dec. 3.

“My recruitment is going really well,” Darboe told TSR. “ I’m not one of those recruits that blew up as a sophomore. I was just as good as anybody but I go to a smaller school so my recruitment started recently. I got my first offer a few months ago from Maryland. That was big and then right after that coaches from everywhere started recruiting me.”
Darboe currently holds verbals from East Carolina, Howard, Maryland and University of Texas-San Antonio. While the Terps remain his lone Power-Five offer, that soon could change as a number of programs such as Indiana, Pitt, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech have shown heavy interest.
