Maryland’s recruiting cookout July 30 brought many of the Terps top targets on campus, and while most were local prospects, not every visitor was from the DMV. Springfield (Pa.) Cardinal O’Hara 2017 three-star offensive tackle Desmond Holmes attended the cookout in what was his second trip to College Park this summer and first since being there for a camp in June.

The 6-foot-4, 320 pound blocker has built a strong relationship with Maryland’s coaching staff and told TSR that they have done an excellent job of making him feel like a priority.

“The cookout was great,” Holmes said. “I had a great time there. I was able to meet the coaches, I was able to ask questions, I was able to tour the campus and I had a great time. They always show me love every time I go up there and always keep in touch with me so it’s just great.”
