Following a flurry of commits at their July 30 cookout, the Terps' 2017 recruiting class currently sits at No. 17 nationally with 15 players now in the fold.

Below is a look at Maryland's top 10 remaining targets for 2017 according to TSR and where the Terps currently stand in their recruitment.

Key offers: Alabama, Maryland, Miami

The skinny: With the Terps picking up commitments from a pair of three-star running backs at their July 30 cookout, some might see McFarland as a luxury for Maryland at this point. But the four-star prospect is a game changer with the ball in his hands and would be a major coup for the Terps as the top-ranked player in the DMV. McFarland was in attendance at the Terps' cookout and is now being recruited by local RB commit Tayon Fleet-Davis. While Alabama and Miami remain as stiff competition, the Terps continue to chip away. While it's possible McFarland could commit early and then take his official visits, it still seems likely he will wait until Signing Day to commit. The Terps remain in solid shape heading into the fall.
